208 FC Tournament Play

Project 208 FC participates in a variety of tournaments each fall and spring, with the exact schedule determined each season by coaches and team managers, largely based on player availability and interest.  We work to foster opportunities for our players to enjoy fun, competitive weekends filled with soccer and lots of team bonding.  Below are some of the tournaments we consider each year.

Spring & Fall Soccer Tournaments

The Icebreaker Tournament

The Icebreaker Tournament in St George started in 1984, and is a favorite amongst teams from up and down the western United States.  Project 208 has often sent teams from high school and occasionally middle school to this mid-February tournament.

The Gem State Tournament

The Gem State Tournament in Boise is an early October tournament for Project 208, with opportunities for all age groups, and a fun post-game social gathering for parents and families at the Riverside Hotel.

The Boise Timber Thorns Fall Classic (BTT)

The Boise Timber Thorns’ Fall Classic (“BTT”) is held the first weekend of November annually.  When it aligns with Halloween, the local host teams connect visiting teams with fun Halloween festivities, haunted houses and trick-or-treating.

The Directors Cup

The Director’s Cup is another Boise tournament, held at Simplot in mid-May each year, and a favorite for the entire club.

The Boise State 7 A-Side

The Boise State University 7 A-Side is an awesome opportunity for our teams to play on the blue at BSU’s iconic football stadium, under the lights. This tournament offers each team a minimum of 3, fast-paced 7v7 games.  This tournament is held towards the end of February each year.

The Canyon Rim Classic

The Canyon Rim Classics are tournaments hosted in Twin Falls during the fall (mid-October) and spring (early May).  These are great opportunities for our teams, with or without a hotel stay.  During the Fall Classic, our younger teams usually take a side trip over to Tubbs Berry Farm.

The Idaho Falls Shootout

The Canyon Rim Classics are tournaments hosted in Twin Falls during the fall (mid-October) and spring (early May).  These are great opportunities for our teams, with or without a hotel stay.  During the Fall Classic, our younger teams usually take a side trip over to Tubbs Berry Farm.
