Mission, Values & Code of Conduct

Project 208 FC
Mission Statement

Project 208 FC provides an environment that inspires and advances players to the highest levels possible. We achieve this by fostering a culture of integrity, responsibility, and commitment in both training and competition, using the game of soccer as a vehicle to build character and teach life lessons.

  • Create an environment where competing, player development, quality of play, teamwork, and sportsmanship are all equally valued. At Project 208 FC, creativity and risk-taking are encouraged as essential components of growth.

  • Develop individual players by adhering to a curriculum aligned with US Soccer and other governing bodies, focusing on technical, tactical, physical, and psycho-social aspects of the game.

  • Safeguard player health by providing proper guidance on nutrition, exercise, recovery, and the avoidance of prohibited substances.

  • Foster strong player-coach relationships that encourage open, honest dialogue and promote self-advocacy in personal development.

  • Support players in pursuing higher education and assist with opportunities to play soccer at all levels, including collegiate, regional, national, and international programs.

  • Provide financial assistance, to the best of our ability, to those in need.

  • Inspire a lifelong passion and love for the beautiful game.

Disciplinary Plan for Unsportsmanlike Behavior

Any unsportsmanlike behavior by a coach, player, parent, or family member may be subject to disciplinary action by Project 208 FC’s Competitive Committee and/or Board of Directors. Misconduct will be treated seriously, and we expect all Club members to always uphold the highest standards of behavior.

Project 208 FC’s staff and board members may issue a YELLOW card as a first warning for inappropriate behavior, and a RED card for persistent or egregious behavior. A RED card results in suspension from the field for a duration determined by the Board based on the specific misconduct.

Anti-Discrimination, Tolerance & Inclusion

Soccer is globally known as ‘The Beautiful Game,’ and Project 208 FC believes in and ensures that discrimination, intolerance, and exclusion, for any reason other than merit, have no place in our Club, the game, or life in general. Specifically, verbal, physical, and/or psychological acts related to gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or socio-economic status that discriminate or exclude (whether intentional or not) will not be tolerated. The Beautiful Game earned its title because of its purity—on the field, anyone can rise or fall based on their abilities, athleticism, training, creativity, teamwork, and perseverance. These qualities are the only measures of any player or person.

Project 208 FC outlines these and other important principles in the ‘Ethics’ section of the Club’s Code of Conduct:

Project 208 FC is built on the idea that every girl, regardless of her background or initial skill level, deserves the opportunity to experience the joy and transformative power of soccer.
